Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

At Xverse Car Deals, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction with every transaction. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines our procedures for deposits, cancellations, and refunds related to vehicle purchases.

2. Deposit Policy

A deposit may be required to hold a vehicle while completing the purchase process. Deposits serve to demonstrate serious intent to purchase and to remove the vehicle from active sale status.

  • Standard deposit amount: $500 - $2,000 (depending on vehicle price)
  • Deposits can be made via cash, check, credit card, or bank transfer
  • Deposits are applied toward the final purchase price
  • A receipt will be provided for all deposits

3. Refundable Deposits

Deposits are refundable under the following circumstances:

  • Vehicle Misrepresentation: If the vehicle is materially different from what was described or advertised
  • Failed Inspection: If the vehicle fails a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic (inspection must be completed within 48 hours of deposit)
  • Financing Denial: If the buyer is unable to secure financing (with proof of good-faith financing application)
  • Dealer Cancellation: If we are unable to complete the sale for any reason

4. Non-Refundable Deposits

Deposits are non-refundable in the following situations:

  • Buyer changes mind after deposit is made
  • Buyer fails to complete purchase within agreed timeframe (typically 7 days)
  • Buyer fails to secure financing due to insufficient effort or incomplete application
  • Buyer provides false information during purchase process

5. Cancellation Timeline

48-Hour Inspection Period: Buyers have 48 hours from the time of deposit to conduct a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic. If the vehicle fails inspection for major mechanical issues, the deposit will be fully refunded.

After 48 Hours: Once the 48-hour inspection period has passed, deposits become non-refundable unless one of the refundable conditions listed above applies.

6. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed as follows:

  • Cash deposits: Refunded within 3-5 business days
  • Check deposits: Refunded within 7-10 business days
  • Credit card deposits: Refunded within 5-7 business days
  • Bank transfer deposits: Refunded within 5-10 business days

7. Purchase Completion

Buyers must complete the purchase within the agreed timeframe (typically 7 days from deposit) unless an extension is granted in writing. Failure to complete the purchase may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

8. Vehicle Availability

Once a deposit is received, the vehicle will be removed from active sale and held for the depositor. We will not show or sell the vehicle to other buyers during this holding period.

9. Trade-In Vehicles

If a trade-in vehicle is part of the transaction and the buyer cancels, the trade-in must be returned in the same condition as when received. Any changes to the trade-in value due to condition changes may affect the refund amount.

10. Modifications and Special Orders

Deposits for special orders, custom modifications, or specific vehicle requests are generally non-refundable once work has commenced or the vehicle has been acquired specifically for the buyer.

11. Return Policy After Purchase

All sales are final once the purchase agreement is signed and the vehicle is delivered. We do not accept returns or offer refunds on completed purchases. Please inspect the vehicle thoroughly and ask all questions before finalizing your purchase.

12. Warranty Disclaimers

Unless explicitly stated in writing, all vehicles are sold "as-is" without warranty. Any warranty coverage will be clearly outlined in your purchase agreement. This does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

13. Dispute Resolution

If you have concerns about a deposit or refund, please contact our customer service team first. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be subject to arbitration or mediation as outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
